Blue Voyage Cruises

Blue Cruise is the term used to describe taking a yacht on the Aegean and Mediterranean coast of Turkey, this traditional built, handmade wooden Boat, called a "goulette" or "gullet". Boat builds in Bodrum. It has as its heritage in those ancient wooden boats which have sailed across the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas for thousands of years both fishing and trading.
Turkey travel Gullet CruiseIn simple words: this kind of a holiday is a unique experience and not only out of our view: the best way to spend your holiday in Turkey. The Blue Cruise is the ultimate vacation as you sail along the beautiful coast of Turkey while getting away from routines and exploring the many coves. You will be surprised at how reasonably priced the Blue Cruises are.

Nowadays boats are specially built for the charter market with fittings and equipment designed for guest's comfort; all of them come under the collective description of a wooden Gulet. The Gulet is typically built of pine wood and styled with a pointed fore and round aft. The spacious aft deck is designed for dining and lounging in the shade of a sun awning and a forward deck invites with numerous sun beds. All of our gullets have double cabins with en-suite facilities, some have twin beds. Gulets range in size, accommodating from 4-20 people. The crew, a captain, cook and 1 or 2 deckhands are very experienced at handling the boat and catering to all your needs.

Life on board
The closeness of the small group of people on board promotes an atmosphere of friendship and sharing; relations among passengers and crew tend to be relaxed and casual. Unlike cruises on large ocean liners, on a gullet you can explore the secluded and often deserted bays and coves of the coastline. Usually the daily duration of cruising is not longer than 3-4 hours, and the rest of the day can be spent in a gorgeous cove enjoying the sun and the sea. Sunbathing on the deck, swimming in clear waters, Snorkeling, windsurfing, water-Skiing or just fishing... The boats will sail (winds permitting) or motor along your chosen route. There are a variety of itineraries to follow depending on your taste.

Turkey travel Gullet Cruise
You can spend all of your time on board of the gullet if you like. The captain and the crew are continuously at your disposal in an effort to provide you with all your needs. Or anchoring in a cove and trekking in the wild nature, visiting a nearby village and coming closer to the native people and their traditions or visiting one of the numerous ancient sites. Here, in the midst of the idyll, you can feel the touch of nature and history. The delicate Turkish wine and "raki" (national alcoholic spirit) contribute to this delight.

Your meals on board
The Turkish cuisine is considered to be among the finest in the world. The cook pampers you during the whole voyage with specialties and samples of the delicious Turkish cuisine, of which you surely will be a fan at the end of the voyage. You will be served with three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and a three-course dinner in the evening. If you have any special dietary requirements (if there are certain foods you dislike or mustn't eat), simply let him know. He will be able to prepare dishes to suit your exact taste. Dining is generally outdoors around a large table on the aft deck although there is a separate dining area in the main saloon. A sun awning provides shade and there is ample space for everyone on the cushioned sun decks.

The sailing area and sightseeing
Turkey is a fascinating and friendly country where you can soak up the history of ancient civilizations, but also enjoy the atmosphere of market towns and villages. Whether on land or sea the scenery is spectacular. The Mediterranean and Aegean areas are still surprisingly unspoilt. The coast line of south western Turkey is consistently chosen by sea lovers from all over the world as the most beautiful cruising area of the Mediterranean. If you are interested in history and archaeology, you will agree that these shores are like on open air museum. Throughout your Excursion you will see remains of amphi-theatres, markets, churches, tombs and towns of Lydian, Lycian, Carian, Ionian, Dorian, Hellenic and Roman civilizations. In addition to historical places, you can always find out for yourself what current life is like in our cozy little Mediterranean towns, and admire the local arts and handicrafts

Welcome to Greece! Jump on board to meet your Captain, crew and fellow travellers. After meeting with your tour leader in the afternoon the rest of the evening will be free to explore this amazing island on your own. It is no coincidence that this, the most cosmopolitan of all Greek islands, attracts so many visitors from the entire globe. Here the steep mountains to be encountered in most of the Cyclades islands give way to low, rocky hills which combine with superb beaches. The capital Hora, with its colourful harbour in which little fishing boats nest happily side by side with luxury yachts, presents quite a different picture from that of the majority of Aegean island towns. Mykonos is spread out over a flat area, and the whitewashed streets stand as brilliant white cubic houses with stepped walls for sitting on.
Departing from Mykonos in the small hours of the morning and heading for Paros. Here we will have a swimming stop. Then we will set sail to Naxos. The island of Naxos is the largest and most central island in the Cyclades. Approaching the island by boat, you can see two small islands to the left and right of the harbour, one with the little church of Myrtidiotissa, and the other called Palatia which is linked to Naxos Town. The imposing gate, Portara is an ancient marble temple dedicated to Apollo. Ligdamis ordered this to be built in the god's honour in the 6th century B.C After the orientation walk in this impressive island you will have more free time to explore the town and to swim in the warm waters of the Aegean Sea – with an optional excursion. and a 290 km long beach. You may take a swim in Lambi Beach which is very close to Kos Harbour. Overnight at Kos.
Early this morning we pull anchor and start the sail to Ios. A lazy day ahead filled with sun tanning, listening to music and on board meals. We stop at an ideal swimming spot on the way to Ios - the famous tourist destination. Visitors come for its golden beaches and the characteristic Aegean architecture. Ios is well known as the party island with the lively atmosphere and the endless fun. The capital is built at the point where the ancient city was, where white houses unfold and its windmills and narrow small roads can be seen on the hill tops. We remain floating in the bay over night.
As the sun comes up we head for the magic summer madness of Santorini. It has been said that the sunsets in Santorini are the best in the world. From the Caldera, watch breathtaking views of the volcano & neighbouring islands. Santorini is one of the major tourist attractions of Europe with its marvellous climate and perfect observation conditions, you will experience a wild beauty created from a volcano that lies in the middle of the bay. Today you will have free time to explore the island.
Early in the morning depends on the weather condition we'll cruise to Amorgos or Levita. Amorgos is one of the popular islands in Greece with white houses, crystal clear water and a peaceful atmosphere. It is no coincidence that Luc Besson chose to shoot the first part of the film "The Big Blue" here. Once only visited by young travellers, Amorgos has become quite a "trendy" island since the film was released, and it is no surprise that you will find more adventurous people here than usual. The coastline is 112 kms long, surrounded by impressive mountains and rocky hills and the island is one of the best spots to taste traditional Greek cuisine and wine. In the evening you will have free time to visit the island on your own.
We sail to Levita. Levita is also a popular island on the Aegean Sea famous for its white houses, long beaches and peaceful atmosphere.
This morning we will cruise to Kos (Cos), the birth place of Hippocrates, 'the Father of Medical Sciences'. Kos is the second largest island of the 12 Dodecanese islands and has a very mild climate and very fertile lands. The island houses a 560-year-old tree, a 211-year-old fountain and a 290 km long beach. You may take a swim in Lambi Beach which is very close to Kos Harbour. After spending our day here we'll depart Kos for Bodrum, the famous resort town of Turkey. Bodrum is the centre of night life in the Aegean region of Turkey and known for its amazing beaches and gullet cruise trips. History of Bodrum dates back to the 12th century B.C. The city was named 'Halicarnassus', which was the birthplace of Herodotus; the 'Father of History' who lived in the 5th century B.C. The 'Mausoleum' of King Mausolus (350 B.C.) which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World is located in Bodrum. That's the only structure that survived from the Classical Era is the Amphitheatre. It is one of the oldest theatres in Anatolia with a capacity of 13.000 people, and is still hosting many shows and concerts for the art-lovers of Bodrum. Another place that you should visit whilst in Bodrum is the landmark of the city 'Castle of Saint Peter'. It is one of the best preserved pieces of architecture with a history that dates back to the Middle Ages. 'Myndos Gate' through which Alexander the Great entered Halicarnassus is another place that you should not miss. This evening we'll start to explore the bars, pubs and night life of this impressive town.
The guests will leave the boat with precious memories by 10:30 after breakfast.
